Cookie policy
Last updated 2 September 2026. BitShoppers sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only things stored on your device are the choices you make on the site.
What is stored, and why
Preferences (local storage, strictly necessary): the currency you chose to see prices in, the market you chose, your recent searches for the search box, and whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice. They are kept in your browser's local storage, never sent to us, and they exist only so the site remembers your choice. No consent is required for storage that is strictly necessary to provide something you asked for.
Hosting (essential): our hosting provider may set a technical cookie to route requests or protect the site from abuse. It carries no identity and is not used for tracking.
What is not stored
No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social-media pixels, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting. Shops, gift-card providers, card issuers and Trustpilot set their own cookies on their own sites once you click through; they are not under our control.
If that changes
If we add anonymous traffic measurement later, it will be listed here with its provider and retention period, and it will stay switched off for anyone who chose Decline in the cookie notice. You can change your choice by clearing the site's data in your browser, which shows the notice again.
Managing storage
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data in its settings. Deleting BitShoppers' site data resets your currency and market to the defaults.
